Just as the recent reviews below, I also went with Sam as our guide! I would say this is my most immersive tour yet. Cannot be beat. I have never had a tour guide who had a tour of his hometown and opened up some details of his personal life to his tour group, like showing us the school he grew up in, and he seems to personally know everybody in Aswan haha. Touring his hometown at night and seeing how locals interact with each other in their daily lives is just something I have never felt so deeply in a tour. The size of our cohort helped for that intimate experience that larger groups just can’t achieve (yeah we lucked out with a small group). The tour hit the highlights of all areas, even the extra day I had in Alexandria was also done well.

A Travel Talk representative Paul was waiting immediately there at the gates upon landing and he breezed me through the passport checks and baggage claim, and got me a personal driver too. It felt like a VIP experience. Same deal coming back, they arranged the drop-off service even though my flight was at 5 am! Shoutout to Bisho, our coordinator!

The only deductions I could think of are honestly beyond Travel Talk’s control. For accommodations, two of the three hotels charge extra for some amenities like the spa and at the third one, I sliced my leg open from hitting the corner of my bed. Thankfully it wasn’t a nail nor a sharp metallic object. For transportation, it’s the aging sleeper trains. But don’t worry, the rocking will send you to sleep right away!

But overall, the Egyptian experience will just blow you away and will leave you enchanted. You’ll have no regrets, I swear. Just book it. Your adventure of a lifetime!

We had an amazing experience with Travel Talk in Egypt. Our guide Sam was welcoming, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile for the travelers. We got to see a large variety of Egyptian sites – pyramids, temples, tombs, markets. Although the itinerary was very full-on, we’d recommend a tour as the best way to see Egypt on a budget with limited time. Travel Talk were very helpful in assisting when our bags didn’t arrive at the airport. Would recommend!

Egypt was one of the most amazing trips of my life and I’m so glad I did it with travel talk! The sights were incredible the hotels were great and everyone was so kind. Our guide Sam really pushed it over the top he was amazing! So nice and easy to get along with and we learned some amazing things with him. He was incredibly helpful when I left my passport behind (oops) and did everything he could to keep me calm and get it back in no time! The trip wouldn’t have bene the same without him!

My partner and I travelled with Travel Talk through Egypt last week and it was such an amazing trip! We had such a great guide, Sam, and met such a great bunch of people. The value for money was wonderful and the knowledge passed on by Sam made the trip even better. A real highlight was Sam taking us in a walking tour of his home town Aswan, an amazing authentic experience with a local! Highly recommend!

We had an incredible experience on the Essentials Egypt Tour!

We were a little hesitant to book because we had never taken a group tour before and hadn’t heard of Travel Talk, but we are so glad we took the chance. Travel Talk provides an excellent service. We received support in selecting the right tour, assistance with airport transfers, and throughout the holiday, they handled the logistics, removing any stress and allowing us to fully enjoy the experience.

The tour is packed with exciting activities and takes you across Egypt to visit all the iconic sites. The whole trip was quite surreal, with each day seeming to top the one before.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, engaging, and fun! Sam not only guided us through the historical sites but also showed us around his local area, offering a more authentic experience that we wouldn’t have been able to access on our own. Sam truly brought the group together, creating a sense of family, which made our trip even more special.

I recently did this tour and i would highly recommend. Our guide, Sam, made our trip memorable. I would give more than 5 stars if i could for him. He took us to local places in his home town of Aswan, made travel a breeze, and gave us lots of information about all the places we visited. Not only this but he was a hero to others on the group, getting a lost passport back and helping others with Egyptian airlines to get lost luggage back. The hotels were excellent, our tour group was great fun, and the itinerary was packed of great sightseeing. So glad i did a tour as i think it would have been tricky to navigate Egypt by myself. I couldn’t recommend TravelTalk for Egypt any more and if you get Sam as your guide, you are in for a great trip.

I had the absolute best time on this trip! Truly an unforgettable experience. I’m Egyptian but a lot of this is new territory for me. Thankfully, our guide MoMo was an expert. He’s very knowledgeable and clearly also very passionate about his work! He always went above and beyond to make sure we all felt safe and comfortable. I learned more in the last week about Egyptian history than I have in my whole life. Highly recommend and request MoMo if you can!
