6 Perks of a Sail Turkey Trip

As borders slowly open and the last few weeks of the European summer approach, one thing is certain… Sail Turkey is only just getting started!

If you’ve been daydreaming of a week spent dabbling between the sundeck and beautiful bays on a colourful floatie… Then take a look at a few of our favourite perks of the 8-Day Sail in Turkey!

1. All meals included

You heard correctly – Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all prepared onboard by your Chef and included in the tour price! From local Turkish delicacies to fresh seafood, you’ll get the chance to try a range of delicious meals while watching the sun rise and set over the picturesque bays each day.

2. Swim stops all day, every day

Forget waiting until midday before the boat anchors and the Skipper announces ‘Swim Stop.” Sail Turkey is filled with plenty of opportunities to jump off the Gulet and cool down in the ‘blue-flag certified’ bays and beaches. Blue flag certification means these bays have been internationally recognised amongst the most clean, pristine and serene waters around the world! In fact, Turkey has over 460 beaches that were awarded the Blue Flag certification in 2020!

Each day you’ll be swimming at new destinations, including small coves, blue lagoons and crystal-clear bays filled with Caretta Caretta turtles.

3. Explore a new port-side town everyday

Sail Turkey isn’t just about taking things easy on the Gulet each day and night! There’s also plenty of opportunity to explore the seaside ports and lively cobblestone towns.

Experience sunset from the peak of Nicholas Island, paraglide over Oludeniz, explore the local port town of Kas, eat your weight in Turkish Delight while wandering the markets of Fethiye or walk to the ancient castle of Simena for incredible views over the pristine bays. All of these activities (and more) you can do on tour!

4. It’s affordable!

One of the great perks of visiting Turkey is that travellers can stretch their Dollars, Pound and Turkish Lira very far! The cost of eating out is extremely affordable and is the perfect excuse to try some of the delicious, fresh seafood dishes in the seaside ports. Plus, the average cost for a bottle of local beer at the markets is about 15 Lira (less than £2)!

With meals, accommodation and transport all included in the cost of the Travel Talk Sail, all that’s left to pay is your bar tab onboard the Sail, plus any entrance fees or optional activities that you wish to check out while at the ports.

5. Sleep under the stars

It’s become a tradition of sorts to sleep on deck on the traditional Gulet boats. While twin and double cabins are of course included for accommodation on Sail, most of our travellers decide to spend their nights sleeping on the comfortable sunbeds on deck.

Why, you ask?… More like why not? You’ll catch the starry sky glistening with a few of your new close mates every night. Plus, you’ll wake up to some jaw-dropping sunrises!

6. Travel with peace of mind

With the ever-changing travel restrictions around COVID-19, we understand that our travellers are seeking additional peace of mind when booking their next trip. That’s why we’ve introduced enhanced Safe Travels protocols and Special Flexible Conditions, so you can book and travel with confidence.

If you need to change your plans for any reason, or no reason at all, you can rest assured that you won’t lose your money! Just notify us in writing at least 30 days before your departure and you’ll be provided the opportunity to keep all monies paid toward the original booking as Travel Credit.

Convinced?

A European Sail is almost a right of passage for any traveller who loves sunshine and swimming. Plus, for a limited time we’re offering half price on all Sail Turkey tours. Take a look and get planning for your next big adventure!
