Meet in the hotel lobby before we begin to explore the magical old town of Istanbul. Stroll through the historical heart of the old city, making stops along the way to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, majestic Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia. Later in the afternoon take an optional cruise down the Bosphorus river and see the epic skyline.

After months of research we chose Traveltalk to help us explore Turkey and they didn’t fail. Me and my husband fell in love with Turkey. What was only a plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary and quick escape from our busy lives turned out to be more on what we expected to be. If you’re a cultural history buff, loves geography, loves different cuisine, photography and respects different kinds of religion, Turkey has it all. This is not possible without Mustafa and our two drivers which made our tour comfortable and safe. They are very organised and they have the perfect itinerary to go to places to avoid the crowd to enjoy and take perfect pictures (which made it look like the place is just to ourselves). Mustafa went beyond his job as he is also our older brother, he made sure we have enough rest, safe and happy throughout our stay in Turkey. The two drivers (sorry I’m bad with names) are really friendly, their English is limited but they always smile and when my husband tried to play hide and seek from me, one of them pointed out where he is hiding while laughing (we considered them as our Fathers in the group). We thank you Traveltalk Turkey Group for letting us experience the best in Turkey! We also met new friends and we’re planning to visit another country under your group. Shopping and souvenirs are a different story! See for yourself, won’t spill more! Make sure you have a big luggage with you 🙂

I loved everything about the Essential Turkey tour. Here I was thinking we’d be getting basic, clean accommodation which I would’ve been happy with, turns out it was 4 & 5 star (sometimes lavish) hotels, usually with a pool or beach access and amazing buffets. Consider yourself very lucky if you get Mustafa as a guide. He educated us about his country very passionately, went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and is a just an all round awesome guy!
This tour covers so much of Turkeys landscape from the coast of Gallipoli which holds so much poignant war related history, past the rolling hills and farmland to the Roman ruins of Ephesus, hot springs amongst the stark white calcium carbonate formations in Pammukale and the extensive rock city of Cappadocia which we were lucky enough to hot air balloon over. Was definitely a bucket list moment, absolutely incredible.
