Colombo

Wilpattu
Wilpattu National Park has earned its name 'Land of Lakes' due to the serene natural bodies of water that cover the vast park. The park is home to a healthy population of Sri Lankan Leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, mongoose, and water buffalo.

Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura is the capital city of North Central Province and the capital of Anuradhapura District. This ancient city is home to one of the greatest and oldest civilizations in the world and is famous for its well-preserved ruins.

Samadhi Buddha Statue
Famous statue situated at Mahamevnāwa Park in the ancient city of Anuradhapura. The Buddha is depicted in the position of the Dhyana Mudra.

Ancient Ritigala Monastery
The dense and lush forest of northern Sri Lanka's highest mountain, Mt Ritigala lays the ruins and rock inscriptions of a monastery dating back to 1st century BCE.

Sigiriya
Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.

Polonnaruwa
Poḷonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kaduruwela area is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa.

Gal Viharaya
The Gal Vihara, also known as Gal Viharaya and originally as the Uttararama, is a rock temple of the Buddha situated in the ancient city of Polonnaruwa in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. It was fashioned in the 12th century by Parakramabahu I.

Minneriya
This national park is one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers. Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa.

Dambulla
The name Dambulla derives from Damba – Rock and Ulla – fountain. One sees the incessant drip of water from the fountain within the main image house.

Dambulla Rock
This UNESCO World Heritage Site features sanctified caves with centuries of tales that have shaped the five immaculate Buddhist shrine rooms open for visitors.

Kandy
Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites.
