Welcome to Sofia! At the airport, keep an eye out for the Travel Talk sign for your transfer to the hotel. At the hotel around 7pm, have an informal welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers. After you get all the critical information about the tour and have dinner at one of the many restaurants around the hotel, head out for our optional panoramic city tour around 9 pm.

I did a nine day tour of the Balkans. I have been to 47 countries, all 7 continents and 49 states. Deki (our bus driver) and Simon (the guide) are the best travel professionals I have ever dealt with and two of the kindest, most caring people I have ever dealt with (travel professionals or not.) They are also fascinating to talk to. The places we saw were gorgeous and SO rich in history.

…As part of the “Amazing Balkans and Transylvania” tour, we spent eight days on the Balkan Peninsula. The Balkans truly were “amazing,” and the tour exceeded all our expectations. Thanks to our guide, Boyan, we not only saw all five countries of the former Yugoslavia and Albania, but felt like we “lived” there for a week. His unique style of presentation, his humor, and his simple explanations of the peninsula’s complex history allowed us to understand all the intricacies of Balkan history.
Boyan is a reliable guide, knowledgeable about his homeland.
…If you just want to see the Balkans, any guide will probably do, but if you want to experience and live the Balkans, you need Boyan.

The best of the Balkans indeed as the name goes. It was a tightly packed itinerary with 7 countries in 9 days. The stay hotels were very good. Plans for the upcoming day, best recommendations for food, sightseeing including any shortcomings were informed well ahead by our guide Bojan. So we had no surprises. Had a wonderful time with our fellow travellers and made new friends along the trip. Our guide Bojan was the rockstar of this trip. This trip would not have been so memorable, without him. Very witty, warm and compassionate person. He is so good at reading people. He spotted that I was not in good health, with swollen legs on the first day itself. Guided me throughout the trip where I would struggle, giving me tips and opportunities to rest. I have been on few coach trips before, but have not seen a guide working so hard, very well organised,treating everyone inclusive, putting so much effort to remember and call people by their names, familiar with their backgrounds on the first day itself. He has got extensive knowledge about the local history, but the way he delivers those lines are comical and very funny. At the same time he knows his job. Very focussed, strict and punctual. A Big brother always available for help. Finally this review would be incomplete without saying about our wonderful driver kire who is a calm and quiet person with a smile always. speaks very less but amazing driving skills. Very familiar with the roads . I wonder how he has so much energy eating only watermelons and a fruit plate 😀😀 and yet still manages to pull out our heavy luggages!! highly recommended..

We did this as a girls trip and it was fantastic! Bojan was the perfect guide for us, incredibly witty with constant pop culture references. Finding out I am from West Virginia, he played Country Roads on the bus one day. Bojan noticed that I had swollen ankles and was quick to show concern and offer advice. He danced with us on the cultural night too! My friend and I don’t mind the bus trips, especially with such gorgeous scenery on the back roads. The hotels are wonderful with some truly delicious breakfasts included. We learned a lot about the region but it is impossible to understand everything because the history is so complex. Well done!

We had a three-day tour to Greece led by our tour guide, Spyros, and our driver, Evo. My favorite stop along the way was Delphi; mouth-on-the-floor moment. Meteora was otherworldly as well and well worth the climb to the temple. Spyros was fantastic as a guide and extremely knowledgeable and took us to some fantastic restaurants. Spyros was also kind enough to help me and my family with the planning of a one-day trip to Mykonos and offered to answer any questions after the tour while we were in the area for a couple more days. Great experience and would highly recommend it! Oh and go DJ Evo!
