Anzac Day Tour


The tour will commence in the varied city of Istanbul where we will be able to sightsee its delights. We’ll then head to Gallipoli where we remember the soldiers who lost their lives at Anzac Cove. Next we will explore the ancient city of Troy, see the remnants of the Asklepion in Pergamum, discover the best conserved olden town in Turkey, Ephesus and then finally call in on the healing pools and ancient ruins of Pamukkale before heading back to Istanbul. . Click for the arrival details

At the terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our Istanbul hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm as we meet both the other tour members and the guide. Today you are free to explore historic city of Istanbul.In the evening, we will then take a relaxing cruise along the magnificent Bosphorus capturing the delights of Istanbul.
Istanbul, Gallipoli
It's time to rest your feet and enjoy the coach drive to the shores of Gallipoli. This morning we sit back and relax, enjoying the amazing Turkish scenery unfold before us, while listening to your music player or just watching the small towns and villages pass. Tonight we get set up to ensure the best position is kept for the Dawn Service and we sleep under the stars in the ceremony area.
Dawn Service, Ceremonies, Canakkale or Kucukkuyu
We wake before the break of dawn and watch as the sun rises over the battle field, we remember the soldiers who lost their lives on this exact day all those years ago. We also attend the National ceremonies and services later in the day. This afternoon we re-charge and freshen up in our hotel in Canakkale or Kucukkuyu.
Çanakkale or Kucukkuyu, Troy, Pergamum, Kusadasi
After breakfast we head to the ancient city of Troy, the setting of Homer's epic, Iliad, involving a giant wooden horse. We then continue to Pergamum and the remains of the Asklepion. In the evening we arrive in Kusadasi.
Ephesus, Pamukkale
The best preserved ancient town in Turkey, Ephesus, will be our first stop. In the afternoon we depart for Pamukkale and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was the cure centre founded in around 160 BC by the king of Pergamum. Our day continues as we take in the unusual and beautiful landscape of the “Cotton Castle”.

Istanbul City Tour
After breakfast we begin to experience the magnificence of Istanbul. We stroll through the old town visiting Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, and the Underground Cistern. Today you can shop for keepsakes in the old town, visit the splendid Ottoman Palaces or discover its many evocative mosques.
Our trip will finish after breakfast in Istanbul. We wish you safe travels!

All prices are based on double, twin or triple share occupancy. Solo passengers not wishing to pay a single supplement will be accommodated in a double, twin or triple room according to availability with a passenger(s) of the same gender.
