Day 1: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! At the Cairo terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, we pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm as we meet both the other tour members and the guide for an informal meeting. After the meeting you have free time to start exploring Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo City Tour, Luxor
After breakfast we visit the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos. The afternoon is left to sightseeing in Sakkara; the first capital of ancient Egypt, famous for its step pyramid, built by King Zoser in 2700 B.C. Later in the afternoon we board our bus to Luxor. In the evening we’ll check into our Premium hotel by the River of Nile...

Day 3: Luxor
After our breakfast, we depart for the West Bank of the Nile where our donkey awaits to take us into the Valley of the Kings. Next is our discovery of the magnificent “city of the Dead” where tombs were carved into the desert rocks, decorated richly, and filled with treasures for the Pharaoh afterlife. Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is our next stop. Then we drive to Aswan for overnight stay.

Day 4: Aswan
Today, after breakfast we explore Aswan, the smallest of the three major tourist cities based on the Nile, famous for the amazing Philea Temple and High Dam, an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. After visiting the High Dam we head to Philea Temple and take a short motorboat ride to reach the island. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the River of Nile. Its various shrines and sanctuaries celebrate the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris. Early in the morning you can join the optional trip to Abu Simbel, one of the most impressive ancient sights of Egypt. Overnight stay in Aswan.

Day 5: Daily Felucca cruise on the Nile
Today we get back to basics and jump onboard a Felucca sail boat, bound for the Elephantine and Kitchener Islands on the River Nile. After our river excursion, the rest of the day is yours free to wander around Aswan as you wish.

Day 6: Edfu, Komombo, Luxor
After breakfast, on our way to Luxor where we will spend the night, we head to Edfu to visit the largest and best preserved temple in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus and was built over a 180-year period from 237 BC to 57 BC. Then we continue to visit Komombo Temple which was built during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods. The temple is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and god Horus.

Day 7: Luxor, Cairo
Today, it has much to offer the traveller, from vast temples, to ancient royal tombs, via spectacular desert and river scenery. we visit the temple of Luxor on the East Bank of the Nile which was dedicated to the great god Amun, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu (the mood god), representing the Theban triad. The temple was built on the site of a probably smaller structure for the god Amun, while the earliest parts of the temple seen today date from the 14th century BC and the time of Amenhotep III. In the afternoon we proceed to the Temple of Karnak, one of the most important religious centers of ancient Egypt. In the afternoon we drive to Cairo for overnight stay.

Day 8: Cairo City Tour, Flight to Casablanca, Marrakech
Our journey continues with a visit to one of the most important museums in the ancient world, the Egyptian Museum, that houses more than 100,000 relics of Egypt. Then we discover the Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Hanging Church and the world famous Kahn El Khalili bazaar before flying to Casablanca/Morocco.

Day 9: Marrakech, Ourzazate, Zagora, Mhamid, Jeep Safari
After breakfast we depart for Ouarzazate and on the way we’ll visit the berber village Ait Ben Haddou well-known for its universal Kasbah which has been used in many Hollywood films. Here we will also have the chance to visit a local berber house. We drive along the Draa valley until we reach the desert village of Zagora, reflecting the traditional life in Morocco. The village is located at the edge of the Sahara desert and here we join the 4x4 jeep safari. We drive through magnificent oasis and take a break at one to enjoy a prepared lunch. We then drive through the Saharan town of Mhamid and stop to have a run on the sand dunes before we head back to our tent. A traditional Moroccan dinner is prepared by the camp staff and you can enjoy your meal under the desert stars.

Day 10: Mhamid, Zagora, Camel Trek at the desert
An amazing day in the Moroccan desert! Today we ride camels through the Sahara and enjoy the adventurous atmosphere of the desert life. We have lunch at a house in the desert with the option to get a henna tatto. We then make our way back to our campsite where an awesome experience awaits us: watching the desert change color under the sunset. Dinner is again prepared by the locals and if you're lucky they will entertain you with some traditional song and dance by the campfire.

Day 11: Zagora, Agadir
Enough of desert! Be ready for Ocean, from the desert sands to the beach sands and a beautiful ocean waters. We have a overnight stay in a beautiful resort in Agadir.

Day 12: Agadir, Essaouira
Today we are back on our coach and drive along the Oasis, passing palm groves, Berber villages and continue through the High Atlas mountains until we reach Essaouira; Morocco’s number one sea resort. With over 340 days of sunshine a year, situated on the southern part of Morocco’s Atlantic coastline, Essaouira has something to offer everyone: water sports, delicious Moroccan seafood, fantastic beaches and attractive nightlife.

Day 13: Essaouira
After a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast through the Argane tree forests and banana plantations, we arrive in Essaouira, the most popular wind-surfing destination on the Atlantic Ocean. Essaouira is still serene, friendly and charming. Wander through tall white houses with yellow detail and blue doors, narrow streets and the ramparts that protect most of the town. Savouring grilled sardines and fish at the Essaouira port is a spectacular way to spend the evening.

Day 14: Essaouira, Marrakech
Today we depart for Marrakech. In the afternoon we will visit Djemaa el Fna Square - filled with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and folk dancers. We remain in Marrakech overnight.
