How to take Insta-worthy photos!

You haven’t been to Morocco if you haven’t ridden a camel, eaten a tagine or documented the whole trip on Instagram to share with your friends! So when the holiday blues start to set in and you’re back to reality, we rely on our daily Instagram scroll to give us that #wanderlust feeling and remind us of the awesome experiences we had. We may not all be the best photographers but we all want to freeze those awesome memories in time!

So before you head off on your next trip, see our top 5 tips to capture the best insta travel pics so you can capture your epic experiences forever.

1. Beat the crowds

Don’t want people to obstruct your pic, or have someone photo bomb in the background? Get up early, and beat the crowds and you’ll be able to get that awesome shot. By getting up early you can also jam pack more into your day and explore more of the city. Win-win!

2. Watch the sunset

Taking the perfect pic is always reliant on lighting. Harsh lighting at midday can cause some awkward shadows on the picture’s subject. Take the best pics at sunset also known as the ‘golden hour’ in the softer warmer light to get the ultimate shot!

3. Find an epic view

View for daysssss! Take a walk up a hill, or climb higher building and you’ll be able to get the most incredible view of the city. Perfect for those scenic panoramic shots.

4. Tell a story

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a 1000 words. Try to encapsulate the meaning behind the image and use different angles, backgrounds and focal points. Try to take the picture from your perspective and go against what is expected and the usual travel shots.

5. Put your camera down

After all travel is about experiences and living in the moment. So remember to put that camera away and absorb every moment!
