Today we will depart for the vibrant cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. A mecca of culture, art and adventure, it’s no wonder it’s a favourite city amongst many travellers. Spend you free afternoon as you please! You could check out some of Gaudí’s’s stunning works of architecture which are scattered throughout the city, or visit Camp Nou stadium a football lovers dream.
We’ll start the day by checking out all the top sites in our guided panoramic city tour. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the pretty cobblestone streets of the old Gothic Quarter or the buzzing La Rambla district.
Valencia here we come! Enjoy a filling breakfast before we depart Barcelona at 8am. Reaching Valencia around noon, we start our walking tour at Plaza de Reina, located in the heart of the old city. After discovering all the gems scattered around the area on a 2 hour tour with our guide, check into the hotel to refreshen up. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the city by your own. Perhaps relax at the beach or visit Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, a modern scientific and cultural complex which is the largest of it’s kind in Europe.
It’s time to depart for our next stop Granada. On arrival we will take a guided orientation tour of Granada to get a glimpse into this beautiful region of Spain. Don’t forget to check out one of Spain’s iconic highlights, the Alhambra and Generalife gardens. Walk around the fortified Moorish palace complex, with its dramatic backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it’s not a sight you should miss. End the day by treating yourself to a cold drink and you’ll usually get a free tapa! Winning!
Time to hit the road, and drive to Sevilla. On arrival, we will walk around Sevilla city centre and you may even recognise some sights along the way, hint *GOT & Star Wars*. In the afternoon, spend some time exploring as you please. We’d recommend climbing the Giralda tower in the Cathedral of St Mary for some epic views, or wandering around the Plaza de España in Parque de María Luisa for it’s grandeur, canal and beautiful ceramics. One of the oldest places in Europe, Reales Alcázares is also a must see, and is the perfect example of Mudéjar architecture. What better way to end the day with an optional Flamenco show! Olé!
Today we will fly from Sevilla to Marrakech. Keep your eyes peeled at Marrakech airport for the Travel Talk sign for your transfer to the hotel. Freshen up and meet in the lobby around 7:00pm for an informal meeting with your new local guide and other tour members. Afterwards you have free time to start exploring vibrant Marrakech or go out for an optional group dinner.
After breakfast we depart for Ouarzazate and on the way we’ll visit the berber village Ait Ben Haddou well-known for its universal Kasbah which has been used in many Hollywood films. Here we will also have the chance to visit a local berber house. We drive along the Draa valley until we reach the desert village of Zagora, reflecting the traditional life in Morocco. The village is located at the edge of the Sahara desert and here we join the 4×4 jeep safari. We drive through magnificent oasis and take a break at one to enjoy a prepared lunch. We then drive through the Saharan town of Mhamid and stop to have a run on the sand dunes before we head back to our tent. A traditional Moroccan dinner is prepared by the camp staff and you can enjoy your meal under the desert stars.
An amazing day in the Moroccan desert! Today we ride camels through the Sahara and enjoy the adventurous atmosphere of the desert life. We have lunch at a house in the desert with the option to get a henna tatto. We then make our way back to our campsite where an awesome experience awaits us: watching the desert change color under the sunset. Dinner is again prepared by the locals and if you’re lucky they will entertain you with some traditional song and dance by the campfire.
Enough of desert! Be ready for Ocean, from the desert sands to the beach sands and a beautiful ocean waters. We have a overnight stay in a beautiful resort in Agadir.
Today we are back on our coach and drive along the Oasis, passing palm groves, Berber villages and continue through the High Atlas mountains until we reach Agadir; Morocco’s number one sea resort. With over 340 days of sunshine a year, situated on the southern part of Morocco’s Atlantic coastline, Agadir has something to offer everyone: water sports, delicious Moroccan seafood, fantastic beaches and attractive nightlife.
After a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast through the Argane tree forests and banana plantations, we arrive in Essaouira, the most popular wind-surfing destination on the Atlantic Ocean. Essaouira is still serene, friendly and charming. Wander through tall white houses with yellow detail and blue doors, narrow streets and the ramparts that protect most of the town. Savouring grilled sardines and fish at the Essaouira port is a spectacular way to spend the evening.
Today we depart for Marrakech. In the afternoon we will visit Djemaa el Fna Square – filled with story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and folk dancers. We remain in Marrakech overnight.
Our trip will end after check-out (11:00am) say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast, and we bid you safe travels.
