Day 2 Hurghada

A full day to soak up the sun of this Red Sea resort, swim, relax by the pool or visit the town of Hurghada. t seems a long time since IHurghada was nothing more than a small fishing village and modest shipyard ignored by the rest of the world, including the Egyptians. In fact, it is only in the last ten years that Hurghada has become the most popular seaside resort in the country and an international centre for aquatic sports like windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, swimming and, above all, snorkelling and diving. The unique underwater gardens offshore are some of the finest in the world, justifiably famous among divers. If you aren't licensed to dive, it is often possible to snorkel and see incredible coral reefs and hundreds of varieties of tropical fish just 10 meters from the beach. The warm waters here are ideal for many varieties of rare fish and coral reefs, which may also be observed through glass bottom boats. The town centre, known as the Ed-Dahar quarter, has preserved a certain traditional character with a small souk and local hotels. Known as a party town, with its many clubs, life in Hurghada begins in the afternoon and continues throughout the night. Many restaurants, bars and shops, small pubs and internet cafes are available all over Hurghada.

Day 3 Luxor

LuxorToday, after an early breakfast we visit the temple of Luxor on the East Bank of the Nile which was dedicated to the great god Amun, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu (the mood god) together represents the Theban triad. In the afternoon we proceed to the Temple of Karnak, one of the most important religious centers of ancient Egypt. Then we depart for the West Bank of the Nile where our donkey awaits to take us into the Valley of the Kings. Next is our discovery of the magnificent “city of the Dead” where tombs were carved into the desert rocks, decorated richly, and filled with treasures for the Pharaoh afterlife. Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is our next stop. In the afternoon we head to Aswan for overnight stay.
