An ideal tour combining history and culture. Begin your Exotic Tour in the amazing city of Marrakesh. Enjoy a remarkable day in the Moroccan Desert including an entire day of trekking on a camel. Pass through the traditional village of M’Hamid and stay in sedentary tents portraying the authentic local life of the Saharas. Visit nomad families living in hand-woven, goat haired tents and have dinner under the stars among the biggest sand dunes, the ‘ocean without water’. Pass palm groves and Berber villages before you make your way to amazing Fes, Rabat and ending in Casablanca.

Day 1 Marrakech

MarrakechAt the terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk sign, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby at 7:00pm as we meet both the other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some country info. Optional dinner together is available to get to know your travel mates better.

Day 2 Marrakech, M´hamid

After breakfast we depart for M’hamid, the desert village reflecting the traditional life of Morocco. The village is located at the edge of the Sahara and “52 days by camel to Tombouctou”. After sharing our experiences with our travel mates and dining under a starry sky, we stay in sedentary tents portraying the authentic local life of the Saharas.

Day 3 M´hamid, Chigaga Jeep Safari

An amazing day at the Moroccon desert. In the morning we join a 4x4 jeep safari through the magnificent sand dunes. We may even have the opportunity to visit one of the nomad families who live in hand-woven goat hair tents. We have lunch at the Oasis and then continue to Chigaga in our 4x4 jeeps, a 40 km-long stretch of huge 300 m high saharian dunes, through the arid plains and sands. In the evening we check into our nomad tent camp, based at the largest dune called “ocean without water” and have dinner under the desert stars.

Day 4 M´hamid Camel Trek

Another amazing day in the Moroccon desert ! Today we join a full day camel trek in the Sahara and enjoy the adventurous atmosphere of the desert life. We have lunch at the desert and we then make our way to our bivouac at an Oasis where an awesome experience awaits us : watching the desert change colour under the sunset, staring a billion stars in the night sky, or listening to the silence of the desert before the sun comes up. Day 5 Chigaga, Jeep Safari, M´hamid, Erfoud

Today we safari back to M’hamid, then drive in our bus along the Oasis passing palm groves, Berber villages and kasbahs to Erfoud, the city situated at the gates of Tafilalet. Overnight stay in Erfoud.

Day 6 Erfoud, Midelt, Fes

After breakfast we’ll depart for Midelt passing through the Atlas mountains. Midelt is an impressive mountain city at 1488 metres above sea level, remarkably situated down the Jbel Ayachi (3737 m). In the afternoon we’ll continue to the legendary city of Fes.

Day 7 Fes

Today, we’ll explore the oldest imperial city of Morocco with more than 10.000 tiny streets offering the largest “medina” (old city) and souks in the world and visit Bab Boujloud Gate, Bou Inania Medersa, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Andalusian, Quaraouiyine Mosque, Najjarine Square, Spices Market, Atarine Medersa, the surroundings of Karaouine Medina and Mellah.

Day 8 Fes, Rabat, Casablanca

We depart for Rabat, set in a rich, amber-coloured landscape combining the ancient history with the modern Moroccon culture. After the orientation tour around the Royal Palace, Chellah Ruins, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Oudayas Gardens, we’ll depart for Casablanca.

Day 9 Casablanca, Marrakech

Today we’ll first visit the United Nations Square, the Anfa Residential Quarter and the impressive Mosque of Hassan II in Casablanca and depart for Marrakech before noon. In the afternoon we'll explore the famous Djemaa el Fna Square in Marrakech.

Day 10 Marrakech

Our trip will end after check-out (11:00am) say goodbye to our new friends over breakfast, and we bid you safe travels.
